Our research team details an efficient low-grade waste heat conversion system in Nature Communications. In the study, we introduced a new ionic thermoelectric cycle system designed for efficient conversion of low-grade waste heat. The device employs a chemical-infused gel that possesses self-regenerative capabilities, ensuring consistent performance between 10°C and 60°C. It offers efficient electricity production, effective energy storage, and long-term stability. The technology shows promise for powering small electronics in various global climates.
